Half-Bridge strain gauges is collective name for all kinds of strain gauge geometries which have two grids on one backing. These gauges are generally used when space to bond strain gauges is limited. Zemic half-bridge strain gauges are resistance compensated to have matching resistance values between the two grids on one backing material. Commonly, the half-bridge strain gauges are combined with another half-bridge strain gauge to complete a Wheatstone bridge.

All Zemic half-bridge strain gauge are temperature and creep compensated and optimized for the application of use and offer a stable and reliable result and are carefully selected and produced in a state of art production facility.

We offer many different variants. They differ in the following characteristics:

  • Grid Material; Constantan foil or Karma foil.
  • Type of backing material; Modified phenolic, Special Polyimide, Special PEEK film, etc.
  • Rated Resistance; varies from 120 Ohm till 5000 Ohm
  • Length of the sensitivity grid in mm
  • Self temperature or self elastic modulus compensation code.
