Process, automation & control

In the process, automation and control industry the words "weighing" or "measuring" are often used. All sectors, within the process industry, have one thing in common: the ability to weigh or measure products.

Weighing applications in the process, automation and control industry

Siloweighing components

Zemic will always strive to find a solution which will fulfill your needs.

Whether you have a silo, bigbag, check weigher, hopper scale, full automatic production line, packing machines etc. force sensors are often integrated to monitor and control production lines and processes.

The implementation of force measurement in an application has often a direct positive result on effectiveness, efficiency and therefore the return-on-investment is high.

Sub-industries for force sensors

In order to select the correct weighing component it is important to check if you need an ATEX certified product and whether the customer requires an OIML certification (legal-for-trade). Zemic Europe supplies force sensors to the following sub-industries:
• Pharmaceutical
• Food
• Chemical
• Packaging
• Metal / electronic devices

Case Studies

  1. Vebo Liftsupport B.V. is specialised in elevator instal-lations since 1999. For the renovation of the elevators in the Euromast they used elevator weighing kits from Zemic. The Euromast is the highest tower in the Netherlands that is open to the public.

Zemic launches new mounts

Zemic Europe has extended the mount portfolio. The new mounts are designed based on the feedback we received from the market.

We believe we make you stronger!

The Covid-19 pandemic brings inevitably challenges in the force measurement and weighing industry.
Obviously health and well-being comes first, but this also brings opportunities for new projects.

Can force sensors be used for predictive maintenance?

Predictive maintenance is being developed in many market sectors

Thursday 3rd of October 2019, Maarten Kleemans and Corné van Gool from Zemic Europe visited JADS (Jheronimus Academy of Data Science). JADS and Co-host MEUNGO organised the event CBM and Predictive Maintenance. When you can predict an unplanned downtime for your application by steering on anomalies, costs will reduce and performances will be optimized. The market is changing from reactive service to proactive service.
